The 2025 brought us farmers happiness but also several challenges. No matter if you are a full time professional farmer, or a hobby farmer, the perspective is the same: You want to produce farm products and enjoy them, present them, sell them, use them by yourself and for your family and your circle and thank god for it.
The main problems which in the 2025 have occurred:
🌱 in Betulia de Antioquia, Colombia Region it was too much rain, means the plague occurred (parasites eat on the plant) and the harvest was low, either the soil was good. 🦅 The mountain round was again damaged at some sections, but not too much because in 2024 we made sure it’s stronger soil and mountain road accessible. 🎋⛰️ Showing the hike to location.
We also have planted again some new trees, we got paid by a special doner from Germany, so we used bamboo, to strengthen the soil at certain areas, to prevent land slide after heavy rains.
Some 150km further south, in San Jeronimo de Antioquia, Colombia, the weather 2025 was excellent and the harvest results: factor 84 for the Coffee de Cedru’s. (means, it’s a high quality fruit and the coffee bean). Presenting below in pictures at the Sopetran center for coffee quality research.
I have planted additional bamboo at the river side, in San Jeronimo, to change flow of the rain water. It really works, look, the water goes down to the left side, instead to the right side, which would damage the nearby street, sooner or later:
The cacao production is here this year better than in Africa. The beans are delicious and healthy, for the sale and also for the export to Europe ready. We need to make sure that the real work is at the farmers and they need to get their good share at the big world market, because there are still too many sharks who simply misuse the situation and profit from the hard work of the farmers, without giving the farmers a fair share.
